After finishing the Staggering Miho drawing I couldn't help myself but continue with the rest of the crew of the Save Point. The generating point of this idea churned around the idea that the life expectancy of a bomber crew (note, this is not WW2, but similar, let's say its a time between sometime back then and the Miasma of Naussica (note that this time is maybe where some of the engines come from, but i digress). In doing that, you have characters that I understand well, but I'm placing them in a far more difficult situation than they have in the MT story, and thinking about how their personalities might be reflected in how they would react to being basically Dead Girls Walking (or flying) was more than enough to inspire interesting stuff. There are a LOT of little details to find in here. Megumi is grim, with a particularly world weary look. Ping, you note, is not really acting like she would in MT here - she seems to be quite calm almost with Yakugashi going balistic on her and pulling her sidearm on her in anger. Perhaps if i can spell some of this out, you'll see this more 'patient older sister' type of Ping exists here.
