Some of you might recognize the pose - there is a beautiful garage kit figure featured in the "Evangelion 3D" book which shows Asuka wrapped in bandages ala a 'final scene' in Eva. I know that this image has been drawn a lot - but the rampaging 'eva' threads on the Megatokyo message boards inspired me. Kimiko is an aspiring voice actress, right? Cosplay and photo ops are all part of the biz. To me, it's not too far of a stretch to see Kimiko dressed up as Asuka, bandages an all... and it also gives me a chance to draw her with her hair down (which i don't think any of you have seen before). I started this drawing around 12:30 last night and stayed up waaaaay to late to finish it, but there is something about it - something about her look, that is really sad, that made me stay up till 2:30 to finish her...
