I actually did this colored image about two months ago. ThinkGeek asked me if I wanted to do a Megatokyo blanket, and the idea of doing some sort of 'Sad Girl in Snow' blanket seemed to be a natural. The design would need to be something that was bolder graphically than most of my typical work, so I experimented with ways to put together a bolder, more graphic presentation. It was a pretty interesting project - trying to think of what would transfer well to a woven blanket design. A few weeks ago I got a sample blanket for my approval. My cats, Hime most of all, give it a rousing approval. I think it stands well as a color image too.
